Products developed by us

We have developed a number of products on customer request over the years, all the way from concept to manufacturing. Our products typically contain one or more sensors, are battery operated with 5-10 years lifespan and communicate with different radio protocols. In many designs, we use our own radio module MD-G20C112 as it speeds up development considerably. This area is popularly known as the Internet of Things (IoT). Below we show some of the products we have developed.

Water detector

We have developed the water detector on behalf of Verisure Innovation from concept to manufacturing. The design is based on our Sub-1 GHz radio module MD-G20C112.

The water detector detects water leakage at very small amounts such as a droplet every now and then. Leakage often begins that way, as a slow process, which can destroy a lot before the leakage is detected. The cable is designed for early detection. Water is also detected through the product feet. The product has dual radio antennas for optimal radio communication, as it is often installed in hidden places such as under the kitchen sink and dishwasher. A built-in motion sensor notifies the user if the product is moved from its position. Two permanently installed and powerful batteries provide 8-10 years lifespan.

The water detector functionality is simple and intuitive. It is connected to a gateway and sends messages upon detection of water and movement. Furthermore, it sends supervision messages periodically so that the system knows that it is connected - the user is informed upon lost contact. Via the simple user interface, the user can turn on and off the product and perform the link test to find a good position.

Climate sensor

We have developed the climate sensor on behalf of Verisure Innovation from concept to manufacturing. The design is based on our Sub-1 GHz radio module MD-G20C112.

The climate sensor detects the temperature and relative humidity with high accuracy, ± 0.2 °C for temperature and ± 2% RH for relative humidity. It has a number of uses, such as simple monitoring of indoors and outdoors climate, monitoring the fridge and freezer, as well as monitoring of the house to find the risk of mold before it becomes a serious problem. The product is designed for both indoors and outdoors use. Two permanently installed and powerful batteries provide 8-10 year lifespan.

The climate sensor functionality is simple and intuitive. It is connected to a gateway and sends periodic messages with updated temperature and relative humidity. These messages also work as supervision messages so that the system knows that the sensor is connected - the user is informed upon lost contact. Via the simple user interface, the user can turn on and off the product, perform a link test to find a good position and request an extra temperature and relative humidity update.

Mouse detector

We have developed the mouse detector on behalf of Verisure Innovation from concept to manufacturing. The design is based on our Sub-1 GHz radio module MD-G20C112.

The mouse detector detects mice crawling through the product. It is based on the mice's curiosity and instinct to explore tight spaces. Place the detector where mice tend to move, for example, on the floor along a wall. If there are mice they will crawl through the detector, thereby generating an alarm. A built-in motion sensor notifies the user if the product is moved from its position. Two permanently installed and powerful batteries provide 8-10 year lifespan.

Arduino Shield

We have developed an Arduino Shield on behalf of Verisure Innovation from concept to manufacturing. Arduino is an open-source electronics platform that is based on hardware and software that is easy to use. The design is based on our Sub-1 GHz radio module MD-G20C112.

A Shield is a daughter board that adds extra functionality to an Arduino board. In this case it acts as a Verisure radio module, so that an Arduino program can communicate with the Versiure system. The idea is that it shall be used as a rapid prototyping tool to quickly move from a product idea to prototype.

Smoke detector radio module

We have developed an 868 MHz radio module on behalf of Siemens - Building Technologies - Fire Safety & Security Products (nowadays aquired by Vanderbilt), from concept to manufacturing. In this case we are product owner. The design is based on our Sub-1 GHz radio module MD-G20C112.

The radio module is connected to the smoke detector via a standardized interface. It interprets signals from the smoke detector, converts them to events such as fire alarms and low battery and then sends the events to the central unit. The radio module also has a button that is used to pair the module with with the central unit.
