Inside Mikrodust: Where the AtoMik® Test Platform Is Developed

This short film takes you inside Mikrodust in Lund, Sweden — the team and workshop behind the AtoMik® modular functional circuit test (FCT) platform.

Everything you see happens under one roof, by one organisation:

Hardware development and prototyping. The film shows AtoMik test fixtures being developed and assembled in our Lund workshop, including in-house 3D printing of fixture components and hands-on electronics work on carrier boards and probe interfaces.

Test system design. Our engineers work directly in CAD on the mechanical design of every fixture — from the exploded view on the screen to the physical unit on the bench, the entire design chain is internal.

AtoMik in real production. The film also follows AtoMik out into the field: footage from an SMT production facility shows the environment our platform is built for — circuit board panels, pick-and-place lines, and functional test stations where AtoMik units verify boards straight off the line, in day-to-day serial production.

The people behind the platform. Mikrodust is a small, senior team of hardware and software engineers. The whiteboard sessions and collaborative work in the film reflect how we actually operate: short paths between idea, design, and working test system.

The AtoMik platform combines Swedish-developed hardware, test sequencing software, and an analytics tool — available both as a cloud service and as a fully on-premises solution for environments where production data must stay in-house.
